Which are the best-known U.S. cities for young adults?
The country’s most-watched news and culture shows on cable and streaming networks drew a total audience of 2.5 million, according to Nielsen.
The most-streamed shows from ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN and MSNBC all drew a combined audience of 1.6 million.
The network ratings were up more than 5% from a year ago.
New York City was No. 1, followed by Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Denver, Chicago and Houston.
Chicago and Washington also won the coveted No. 2 spot in viewers.
Boston was No 1.
The rankings for local TV markets came from a poll of 4,000 adults conducted by Nielsen for the National Association of Broadcasters.
CNN and CBS led with a combined 4.1 million viewers.
CNN was No .1, followed closely by ABC, Fox and NBC, according a Nielsen spokesperson.
The networks with the highest viewership were NBC, CBS and ABC.
CNN is owned by News Corp., which also owns ABC.
